Sean Maloney, Attorney at Law

 

Sean is a passionate defender of the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution. He is serving as a current NRA board member and has been re-nominated by the Nominating Committee for re-election. He is a NRA Benefactor Life Member as well.

Sean has been a hunter since childhood and is a popular speaker known for motivating others to stand and fight for our rights.

As a “roll-up-his-sleeves” activist, Sean is a recipient of the NRA Jay M. Littlefield Volunteer of the Year Award.

As a member of the Board of Directors of the Buckeye Firearms Association, Sean was instrumental in winning back lost gun rights in Ohio through his efforts as a lobbyist, legislative director and media spokesperson.

Sean is a certified NRA Instructor in Basic Pistol, Home Firearm Safety, Personal Protection in the Home and Range Safety Officer. As a founder and board member of the Faculty/Administrator Safety Training and Emergency Response (FASTER) program he trains teachers and other school employees to be armed first responders.

As an attorney, Sean’s law practice focuses on defending the rights of law-abiding gun owners who are forced to use their firearms in self-defense through Second Call Defense, which he co-founded.

2013 traveled to Colorado and worked as a volunteer to successfully recall State Senate President John Morse, and State Senator Angela Giron.

2013 traveled to NRA Headquarters in Fairfax, Virginia and worked as a grassroots volunteer for the NRA Institute for Legislative Action in the Virginia General Election.

As the top producing EVC in the United States for multiple years, Sean’s duties include securing volunteers for NRA endorsed candidates, working alongside NRA endorsed candidates, campaigning for NRA endorsed candidates; including the staffing of phone banks, literature drops of campaign materials, door to door events, yard sign locations, fundraising, attending gun club meetings and visiting retail gun stores throughout Ohio.

Buckeye Firearms Association Leader

In this capacity, Sean leads the legal and legislative leadership teams, assisting in efforts to successfully expand, modify and reform Ohio’s gun laws. As a lobbyist, Sean meets with legislators, speaks as a proponent for pro-gun legislation, writes and advises on legislation. Sean has also helped pro-Second Amendment candidates with their campaigns for elected office. In addition, Sean attends events, organizes fundraisers and pro-gun events, attends bill signings and writes articles.

 

 

FASTER Co-Founder

FASTER stands for Faculty/Administrator Safety Training and Emergency Response. Sean appears on a regular basis before school boards throughout Ohio to speak as an advocate for training armed school personnel to act as the first line of defense to stop active shooter incidents in schools. He also provides pro-bono legal consultation to school boards to assist them in complying with Ohio law and provides information related to training available through Buckeye Firearms Foundation.

Sean has organized and chaired various shooting events to raise money for NRA endorsed candidates.
