To My Fellow Patriots and Second Amendment Advocates:

I’m Sean Maloney, and I am running for re-election to your National Rifle Association Board of Directors.

I was born and raised in Corry, a small town in Northwestern Pennsylvania, at the base of the Allegheny Mountains. I learned about firearms as a young boy, as I helped to supplement the food at my family’s dinner table by hunting in the woods around my childhood home.

I moved to Ohio in 1987 to attend law school at Ohio Northern University. While living in Ohio, my wife Debbie and I developed such good friendships and a deep sense of community that we never returned home to Corry. We eventually settled in Liberty Township, a rural farm community at the time, to raise our family.

For as long as I can remember, I have been involved with firearms and firearms rights. I have worked with Buckeye Firearms Association since 2009, helping to reclaim the Second Amendment freedoms that had been taken from Ohioans over the decades. I also co-founded Buckeye Firearms Foundation, which raises money to train school staff members to be first responders in their schools, making Ohio’s school children and school employees safer. Since 2012, we have trained over 650 school staff members.

In 2013, I traveled to Colorado as a volunteer to help recall two anti-gun Colorado state senators. These two senators were responsible for stripping basic gun rights from Colorado residents and visitors. I just couldn’t sit back and watch fellow Americans lose their fundamental gun rights. We were successful and sent two Colorado state senators packing, including the Senate President John Morse. Later our recall victory forced another anti-gun state senator to resign.

Subsequently, I traveled to Virginia, Iowa, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania to campaign on behalf of candidates for political office who share our Second Amendment values.

As an attorney, I have volunteered my time representing clients who are in need of representation to protect their firearms rights. In 2011, I founded Second Call Defense to provide ongoing legal protection for those law-abiding citizens who are forced to defend themselves and their families in lawful self-defense.

I have been an NRA Life Member since 2004. I have worked as an NRA Election Volunteer Coordinator, helping to organize grassroots work for NRA Endorsed Candidates. I am proud to have earned the NRA’s Jay M. Littlefield Volunteer of the Year Award in 2010. As a father, I am raising the next generation of Second Amendment advocates.

I was honored to first be elected to the NRA Board of directors in 2014, and am now running for reelection.

The ballot for your next NRA Board of Directors election will be in your February NRA magazine, that should arrive in mailboxes starting on January 23rd.

I humbly ask for your vote. I commit to fighting for our Second Amendment freedoms on behalf of the over 5 million members of the NRA.

Yours in freedom,

Sean Maloney
